Well I’m finally doing it. The Mad Poppet will be live within the next hour! The amount of inventory is minimal right now, and probably will be until financing complete, but thats OK to me. It’s one milestone I’ve hit on my way to complete fullfilment!
The store’s grand opening, as you can see by the ticket on the right of this page, was set to be June 12. I still may target that date, depending on my soft opening sales. I want to get as many glitches in the shopping process, website, and back office out of the way before we start getting hit hard with orders. No reason to deal with that stress when we start picking up major sales.
So far we have 2 distributors. Entertainment Earth, and Action Figures Xpress. If you see anything you like on either site, let me know and I can special order it for you. We’re still waiting on the 800 lb gorilla, Diamond Comics – well, sort of waiting. Main contact and application process has been started, I just need to make my first order before they give me my terms. Terms are how I’ll pay for the merch. It can be prepay, COD, line of credit etc. Until I know if and when our funding will come through, I’m going to hold off.
